If your an angler. fishing is available on the riverbank of the campsite, a permit can be purchased in Echturnach at the angling shop.


A great feature in summer is the use of canoes on the river or as our children did rafted down the river on ringos

Planning Your Escape


Only 5 hours from Calais, with no tolls, the journey to the Echturnacherbruck is relavantly easy , Also close by is the ancient city of Trier .Getting there, you will traverse through picturesque landscapes, charming villages, and lush countryside, making the drive an experience in itself. Trier, with its rich history dating back to Roman times, offers a treasure trove of historical sites and cultural landmarks waiting to be explored. From the iconic Porta Nigra to the impressive Roman amphitheater, every corner of Trier is steeped in history and charm. Additionally, the city boasts a vibrant culinary scene, allowing you to indulge in delicious local delicacies after a day of sightseeing. Whether you are a history buff, a nature lover, or simply seeking a relaxing getaway, Trier promises to captivate you with its unique blend of past and present, making it a destination worth visiting.


We recomend the icecream parlour in Echturnack which is a short walk over the Bridge into Luxembourg.


Crazy Golf is available on the Luxembourg side also


Ceramics

During the Summer Months, visitors have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of creativity within a large ceramic tent. This whimsical space not only allows you to unleash your artistic talents but also offers a wide selection of ceramics that you can paint and purchase as souvenirs. The vibrant atmosphere of the tent is perfect for families and children, providing a fun and engaging activity that sparks creativity and imagination. As you spend time here, you can explore a variety of ceramic pieces, from mugs to figurines, each waiting to be transformed into a personalized work of art. Whether you are a seasoned artist or just looking to try something new, the ceramic tent offers hours of entertainment and a chance to create lasting memories with loved ones.


Fuel Shops and resturants

In Luxembourg, diesel fuel is much less expensive, with a fuel station located on the opposite side of the river. Additionally, there is a supermarket near the campsite on the German side, as well as numerous restaurants and bars in close proximity. There is also a bakery van which comes on the campsite every morning with fresh bread.


The campsite is very multinational in the Summer months, lots of Dutch, Belgique and Germans, If visiting in the Summer months book early to avoid disapointment.
